"Christ is more of an artist than the artists;
He works in the living spirit and the living flesh, he
makes men instead of statues." -Vincent Van Gogh |
A place to belong.
"There are no little people, and there are no little places." -Francis Schaffer
Think back to your first semester at UConn. For some of you, that's not too hard. Now remember how great it felt when you found your "group" of friends. Your family here at UConn. That's a big part of what RUF is all about. We're not a religious club. We're not interested in programs or getting you to buy into a "one size fits all" vision of the Christian life. We're about people. The Bible tells us there is not one insignificant person on the planet. And that means everyone's story is important and worth hearing, no matter who you are.
We don't do it perfectly. And RUF is not for everyone. But everyone is welcome, so don't let your lack of "religious credentials" keep you from us. The good news of the gospel is that Christ came not for the healthy, but for the sick. Not for the righteous, but for sinners. In other words, good people miss it and bad people get it; people who look well might be sick and people who look sick might be well.
Welcome to RUF.
