Mercy NYC Spring Break

What: We will be serving with churches and mercy ministries connected with Hope for New York and the Redeemer NYC network. We will spend time doing three things: 1) serving the poor in a variety of ways at a variety of sites, 2) learning about ministry, and 3) experiencing NYC.

How much: The cost of this trip is estimated at $500 per person (we got a great deal on two vans that dropped the price). However, with fundraisers, USG funding, and letters sent out to friends and family, you WILL be able to go for significantly less. Do not let the cost of the trip intimidate you--raising this money is not out of reach.

Basic Schedule for the Week:

Saturday
Arrive in the evening, get settled in, walk around the neighborhood
Time of prayer for the week
Sleep

Sunday:
Breakfast at NYSUM
Church at Redeemer Presbyterian
Lunch out
Enjoy a restful day in the city
Dinner
Training Session/Bible Study #1
Early to bed

Monday--Thursday Schedule:
Breakfast at NYSUM
Morning work (we will sometimes work in teams, sometimes all together)
Lunch break out (a couple days we will prepare bag lunches to bring with us)
Afternoon work
Dinner out
Evening training/bible study
Nights are free (with stipulations TBA). We will have a couple group nights out.

Friday:
Free day in the city
Leave for CT late Friday afternoon
